The extraordinarily bold move to take over the NAMA-owned Apollo Building in Dublin and use it as a shelter for 40 homeless people has echoed all over the land.Donations of money, goods, time, professional advice and voluntary help have poured in. And the initiative is being replicated elsewhere – in the Sligo area for one

So here is the 1916 centenary song we have been waiting for


and the speech  we have long needed to hear



Remember: “We declare the right of the people of Ireland to the ownership of Ireland and to the unfettered control of Irish destinies, to be sovereign and indefeasible”.
