MPs and activists have launched a drive for a post-Brexit ban on the distribution and import of pure varieties of ‘fact‘ after the UK leaves the EU next year.

Campaigners believe Brexit will be an opportunity to close the door on the problem of the widespread use of what is commonly known on the street as “truth” – now available in quantities so pure that it is set to become illegal to produce in Britain.

A Tory MP at the forefront of the new campaign says he believes there is “a very good chance” of making Britain fact-free once Britain is no longer a member of the EU.

Michael Gove, the environment secretary and Brexiteer, has signalled he is open to halting imports and possession of ‘fact‘ after Brexit, including those sold under the street names of ‘critical thinking‘, ‘free will

Time for a film as the Pope is visiting part of Ireland

He’s begging for forgiveness and pardon for clerical “sins” –

Crimes to you and me!

The numbers of children and women who were tortured by the church and state is almost too immense to fathom.
For decades Irish  governments sent babies, children and women into incarceration which they knew was brutal and horrific.

Doctors, Gardai, teachers, mothers, sports organisations, fathers, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, friends, neighbours and the clergy knew what has happening and the majority stayed silent or deliberately covered up.

Similar crimes happened in Scotland as we saw nuns arrested just this week

What is the Church doing?

Pope Francis is not handing anybody over to the police

He’s not offering compensation to the victims

I don’t see any sign of the Vatican cheque book handy,

to pay up for all the damages.

The Pope’s in Silent prayer….

That’ll certainly help the Survivors.

How about  turning in those Churchmen that allowed/facilitated this and covered up for their criminal colleagues?

 

So we come to tonight’s film

It’s hard watching

Shows how gullible we were, how trusting and naive, ripe for the plucking

Let’s hope we have wised up by now – at least enough to look after ourselves!
