Seàn O’Riada, Irish composer

Time for a nice concert – we haven’t had one for quite  a while!

Liadh Ní Riada  stands as Sinn Fein Candidate for President of Ireland,

Worth listening to her interview.

The early deaths  of both parents and then her husband  were tragedies she had to overcome to get where she is today

Our concert pays tribute to her father, Sean O’ Riada,  the “Sibelius” of Ireland, who died when she was only 3 years old.

Interview with Seàn O Riada

And here are a few of his most famous songs and orchestral pieces

Enjoy!

Ar nAthair – Our Father

Mise Eire – I am Ireland

You’ll find our more about how the film “Mise Eire” was made and how it was banned in Northern Ireland,
